Your Fitness Coach is an all-in-one fitness app that gives you access to partner gyms with a subscription, tracks your activity, and lets you join communities and buy sports equipment.
The app’s main feature – the one it started with – is a subscription that gives unlimited access to any partner gym. This way, users can keep their fitness routine varied without being tied to one membership or location. It’s still a new concept for the UAE market, but the demand is already there.
The primary pain point for our exclusively Arab target audience is typical one-year commitment required for gym memberships. This often doesn't suit many individuals for various reasons: they may lose motivation, get bored, or relocate. Since the concept of one subscription for any gym was new to users, it was especially important to make the app simple and intuitive, so people could easily understand the value and start using it without friction.
The design process began with a quick UX audit of the previous team’s mockups to clarify the client’s vision. We studied the target audience, considering cultural and religious factors, built the information architecture, created prototypes, and refined the final design based on usability testing.
To address the problem effectively, a free activity-based rewards and leveling system was introduced for all registered users, serving as both an entry point and an engagement tool for hesitant users. A vibrant, modern branding was also developed to make the app stand out in a market lacking fresh design. Special attention was given to navigation and app structure to ensure all MVP features were clearly organized and easily accessible.
Your Fitness Coach had a successful launch and quickly gained positive feedback from users. The app consistently maintains high ratings in the App Store and Google Play and has become a partner in the Dubai:30x30 fitness challenge. Steadily growing, it continues to engage users and support their fitness journey.
